Birmingham Zoo's Monkey Island
 
A Vale of Desolation I think we all loved to watch the spider monkeys here. Unfortunately, this has now become a rather desolate 'Alligator Island'. I didn't get to see if the zoo still had a 'big monkey with a red behind'.
Sorry, no more of these cute fellers in Birmingham. According to Smithsonian, June 1999, better see 'em in their native Costa Rica while you still can. How cute can you get?
